The Royal Belgian Sailing Club hosted the 2009 Belgian Championships in Knokke. They did a terrific job; great hospitality and perfect courses which was even enhanced by the perfect weather (sunshine, 2-4 bft).The first day was dominated by Sjoerd Hoekstra with 4 bullets, while the second day was the day of Arno Terra and Chris Field, nr 4 in th last Europeans, had the best scores on the last day.In the end Sjoerd was crowned as the new Belgian Champion, Christ finished just in front of Arno and Nicolas  De Clerc was the first Belgian.(for full results see: http://www.rbsc.be/nl/5?uitslagen=376,jaar=2009,categorie=CATAMARAN,popup=Y).Good old Pieter Saarberg managed to win the last race on his tool with curved daggerboards.Rumours are that this great club will present itself as host for the 2011 Europeans.
