2008 SPANISH A-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP In waters well known for the Americas Cup was the Spanish A-Class Championship, from 11th to 14th September 2008. Puebla de Farnals, very close to Valencia and the America´s Cup Port has been the place where all the races have developed. The very best of the Spanish A-Class only lacking of Manuel Calavia was in Puebla de Farnals, ready to compete for the Championship. Nine races in three days with very stable winds 12-15 Knts. were the perfect sailing days. The Champion was not decided until the final race. It was to be decided between Enrique Cornejo and Juan José Sola. After winning this race, Juan José Sola become the current Spanish Champion. Congratulations to him as he was improving during all the Championship. Enrique Cornejo was second and Mariano Martinez, current 2008 European Master Champion was third.
